NEW DELHI: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2023 counselling date will be announced soon. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) issued the NEET PG 2023 scorecard on March 26. NEET PG 2023 result was declared on March 14. The exam was conducted on March 5.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health will be conducting NEET PG counselling 2023 for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 50% state quota seats for admission to state medical and dental colleges, and central and deemed universities across the country.

MCC is yet to announce NEET PG 2023 counselling date officially. The official schedule of counselling will be released on the official website – Before releasing the schedule, MCC officials may announce NEET PG 2023 counselling dates.

NEET PG 2023 Counselling: Registration, seat allotment

Candidates who have qualified in NEET PG 2023 exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling. Candidates will have to register for the three rounds of counselling on the official website – The counselling process will include registration, fee payment, choice-filling and locking of selected course and college, verification by institutes, processing of seat allotment, seat allotment result, and reporting to allotted colleges.

NEET PG counselling is conducted in four rounds – round 1, round 2, mop-up round, and stray vacancy round. The authority announces more rounds in case of special requirements.

Last year, NEET PG counselling was held between September and December. The counselling schedule was announced in September itself. The officials announced in July that NEET PG counselling will begin in September. However, MCC postponed the counselling dates. The exam was held on May 21 and the result was declared in 10 days, on June 1.
