NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) will be holding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET PG) 2023 today from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates can download the NEET PG admit card on NBE official website- nbe.edu.in.

The NEET PG exam 2023 will be for a duration for 3 hours and 30 minutes. The NEET PG exam pattern consists of 200 multiple-choice questions with each question having 4 response options. The NEET PG 2023 question paper will be of total 800 marks; +4 marks for ever correct answer and -1 mark for every wrong answer.

NEET PG dress code 2023

Female NEET PG candidates are not allowed to wear full-sleeves, clothes with sequins, embroidery, patches, brooches, or big buttons; only half sleeves allowed. In addition to this, footwear with high heels and thick soles, jewellery such as earrings, nose pins, rings, necklaces, anklets, bracelets, or pendants are not allowed.

As for male candidates, full-sleeved shirts, t-shorts, bulky clothes with zip pockets, big buttons, sequins, or embroideries, Kurta Pajama and shoes will not be allowed. Clothing should be simple. However, there are provisions made for religious customary items, Sikh students will be allowed to carry a kara, kirpan or kanga and Muslim female candidates will be allowed to wear a burqa. Such candidates must report to the exam hall at least an hour before the exam for proper frisking.

NEET PG general guidelines

  • Candidates are required to carry the NEET PG 2023 admit card to their respective exam centre without fail.
  • Prohibited items inside the exam hall include- textual material, geometry or pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, pen drives, eraser, log table, Electronic pen, scanner, writing pad, bits of paper, mobile phones, wallets, handbags, watch, bracelets, metallic items, opened food items or packed water bottle.
  • Diabetic candidates will be allowed to carry food items such as sugar tablets, fruits and a transparent water bottle. However packaged items such as chocolates will be allowed inside the centre.
  • Candidates with big or elaborate tattoos cannot appear for the examination, the ones who wish to appear for the exam must inform authorities in advance.
