The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is going to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026 exam on August 30, 2026, from 9 am to 12:30 pm in a single shift. Applicants can download the NEET PG admit card 2026 on the official website of NBEMS at nbe.edu.in.

Applicants will be allowed to enter the examination centre from 7 am, when registration for the test will also begin. Entry to the examination centre will close at 8:30 am. Aspirants will be granted access to their login at 8:45 am, while the login window to read the exam instructions will open at 8:50 am.

As per the schedule, the NEET PG result and cut-off date for completion of internship towards eligibility will be released on September 30, 2026. The NEET PG is conducted for admission to postgraduate medical courses in government, private, deemed, and central institutes across India.

NEET PG 2026 Exam: Guidelines

Applicants appearing for NEET PG 2026 should be familiar with the important exam-day instructions to avoid any inconvenience at the test centre.

  • Aspirants must carry their NEET PG admit card 2026 along with a valid photo ID proof, such as PAN card, voter ID, driving licence, passport or Aadhaar card.
  • Candidates should also carry the registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the respective State Medical COuncil (SMC).
  • Face masks are not permitted inside the examination centre unless the applicant has supporting medical documents.
  • Foreign nationals appearing for NEET PG 2026 must bring their passport and valid proof confirming their status as a medical practitioner in their country.
  • As per the NEET PG examination guidelines, applicants will be allowed to enter the examination hall only until 8.30 am. NO entry will be permitted after the stipulated time.
  • Aspirant's identities will be verified at the examination centre to prevent impersonation. The verification process will also be monitored through CCTV cameras.

NEET PG 2026: Banned items

The items which as barred in NEET PG exam centre are:

  • Stationery items like pen, paper, writing pad, pen drive, eraser, etc.
  • Electronic devices like mobile phones, tablets, calculators, watches, Bluetooth, etc.
  • Rings, earrings, chains, bangles, etc.
  • Wallets, belts, goggles, etc.
  • Any eatable items, whether opened or packed

NEET PG 2026 Exam: Dress code

The NEET PG 2026 dress code, prescribed by the NBE, must be followed by all applicants appearing for the examination. Male aspirants should wear simple, light and comfortable clothing, preferably half-sleeved shirts or T-shirts. They should avoid shoes with thick soles, as such footwear may not be permitted inside the examination centre.

Female applicants should avoid full-sleeved or embroidered clothes and printed jeans on the NEET PG exam day. Accessories such as earnings, nose rings, bracelets, necklaces and nose pins are also not allowed inside the examination hall. Female aspirants are advised to wear simple half-sleeved attire to comply with the examination guidelines.
