Use NowNEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday allowed the National Medical Commission (NMC) to extend the last date for NEET PG medical admissions 2022-23 till November 25.
The NMC in its plea sought extension as COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions had delayed the commencement of the NEET PG counselling for academic year 2020-2021 and in 2021-22.
A bench comprising Justices DY Chandrachud and Hima Kohli who heard the petition today approved the NMC’s request for extension of NEET PG admission 2022 deadline.
On October 7, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) had advised state counselling authorities to conduct NEET PG counselling of their respective states as per the schedule uploaded on the NMC website , nmc.org.in, to prevent further delay in the admission process.
