NEET PG Counselling 2024: 16 seats ‘missing’ in seat matrix; MCC notifies list of vacancies for round 3

Download nowNEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for postgraduation counselling schedule again for round 3 after due to two reasons - reduction in NEET PG 2024 cut-off percentile and delayed state counselling process.
A total of 16 candidates have resigned from MD, MS, NBEMS Diploma seats. The MCC informed candidates and medical colleges that these seats are not visible in the PDF of seat matrix uploaded on the official website mcc.nic.in. However, it clarified that the 16 seats are visible to candidates exercising NEET PG choice filling facility for round 3.
As per the revised schedule for NEET PG round 3 counselling , candidates will be allowed to register till January 22 and the choice filling and locking facility will be available till January 23. The seat allotment results, which was earlier scheduled to be declared on January 21, has now been postponed to January 25.
A total of 819 candidates have changed their nationality from Indian to NRI category in round 3. In all, the MCC has allowed 1,904 candidates to change the category to NRI. Candidates should note that 24,314 seats were notified for round 3. Of which, 23 seats were withdrawn and 12 seats were added .
Moreover, the resignation window has been reopened for candidates who have been allotted seats through state NEET PG counselling and want to resign their All India seat with forfeiture of security deposit. The facility will be available till 12 noon tomorrow, January 22.
