NEW DELHI: Several National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2023 aspirants are demanding postponement of the exam in view of rising Covid cases across the country. Candidates took to Twitter and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan to postpone NEET UG 2023 for a month. This year, 20.87 lakh candidates have registered for NEET UG 2023 including 11.8 lakh female candidates and 9.02 lakh male.

NEET UG 2023 city intimation slip will be issued soon on the official website – neet.nta.nic.in. After the city slip, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue NEET UG admit card 2023. NTA recently reopened the NEET UG registration 2023 window and closed it on April 15.

A NEET aspirant said in a tweet, “Sir covid cases are rising day by day.... Today also more than 12k cases were reported. Neet will create overcrowding very badly. Please think about our health once.”

Another aspirant tweeted, “Due to prevalent Covid wave, more and more aspirants of NEET 2023 are getting sick. This is their peak time, they are not able to study and struggling with health due to an epidemic. Pl postpone NEET2023 till this wave is over.”

A candidate wrote in a tweet, “We just want exam to be postponed, not to be cancelled.”

Another candidate tweeted, “Neet ug 2023 exam should be rescheduled. Due to covid case rising in India and heat wave.”
