NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibilty-cum-Entrance Test (NEET 2024) for admission into more than 1 lakh MBBS seats and 26,949 BDS seats on May 5. The NTA will soon release the NEET UG 2024 admit card on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.

The NEET UG 2024 exam will be used for admission into 52,720 AYUSH seats, 603 BVSc and AH, 1,899 MBBS seats of All India Institute of Medical Sciences and 249 JIPMER seats. The NEET 2024 score will be used for admission into 612 medical and 315 dental colleges. Candidates can download the NEET UG hall ticket 2024 using the application number and password. This year, 23,81,833 students have registered for the medical college entrance exam.

Students will get 3 hours and 20 minutes to attempt 200 questions. The exam will be held in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

Candidates appearing for the NEET 2024 will be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking before entering the exam centre. The exam authority will use highly sensitive metal detectors to detect the barred items.

Barred items

The candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the exam centre under any circumstances

  • Any item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drives, eraser, calculator, log table, electronic pen/scanner and others
  • Any communication device like mobile phone, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band and others
  • Other items like wallet, goggles, handbags, belt, cap and others
  • Any watch, wristwatch, bracelet and camera
  • Any ornaments and metallic items
  • Any food items opened or packed, water bottle and others
  • Any other item which could be used for unfair means, by hiding communication devices like a microchip, camera and bluetooth device.
