National Testing Agency will close the NEET UG May 3 exam fee refund window today, July 14. For that, candidates will have to enter their application number and password to access their account and complete the application process. 

The public notice reads, "It is requested that students complete this exercise by 14 July 2026 (up to 11:50 P.M.) to enable NTA to complete the refund process without any delay. Candidates may log in to the NEET (UG)-2026 registration portal by visiting neet.nta.nic.in and click on the link provided for "Bank Account Details Confirmation / Updation after completing two-factor authentication and access the refund link to submit their bank account details. Candidates may also upload a cancelled cheque, if desired, to ensure the accuracy of the bank account information.

The minimum qualifing NEET UG cut off 2026 varies by various category. It is determined based on the prescribed qualifying percentile. Candidates belonging to the general category are required to secure at least the 50th percentile, while the cutoff for general PwD candidates is the 45th percentile. For candidates from the SC, ST, and OBC categories, including SC/ST/OBC-PwD, the qualifying cutoff is fixed at the 40th percentile.

On Monday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu claimed the NEET paper leak had “crushed the dreams of millions of students” and the BJP brought disaster to the students' future. He said that the campaign ‘Chhatron Kee Goonj' of the Youth Congress will be kicked off in Shimla, and awareness drives and protest activities will be conducted in different parts of the state to raise public awareness about the issues of the students, including the NEET paper leak. Sukhu also attacked the Agnipath scheme, stating that it had dampened the interest of young people in the Army in Himachal Pradesh, while his government was working to ensure that the recruitment process was transparent by going through the Rajya Chayan Aayog. Minutes of silence were observed for 21 children who are said to have died as a result of the NEET paper leak.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG fee refund window for May 3 exam will end tomorrow, July 14. National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided candidates with another opportunity for confirmation, correction or updation of bank account details for refund of examination fee. Only 10,28,223 candidates confirmed their bank accounts till July 7.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) final answer key soon. The provisional answer key was out in June last week and candidates were given time to raise objections against the same.

In NEET 2025, the approximate score required for an MBBS seat in a government medical college was-

• 525+ marks for the General (AIQ) category
• 520–525+ marks for OBC candidates
• 520–525+ marks for EWS candidates
• 430–450+ marks for SC candidates
• 400–430+ marks for ST candidates

• For General and EWS candidates, NEET qualifying criterion is 50th percentile.

In a major reform, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced during a press conference that from next year onwards, the NEET UG 2027 exam will be held in a computer-based test (CBT) mode.

NTA introduced some "student-friendly" measures based on students' feedback, such as additional rough work sheets for MBBS aspirants, and gave an additional 15 minutes for mandatory formalities such as signing of attendance sheets and invigilation procedures.

According to ANI report, an NTA official said that the re-NEET result 2026 will be declared by July 20. Candidates can download the NEET UG 2026 result from the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, through the login facility. 

20 candidates who took the re-NEET 2026 at a centre in Goa were allegedly denied the additional 15 minutes of paper time introduced for the re-exam. As per a complaint submitted by one of the affected candidates, the invigilator at one of the exam halls at the Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College and Research Centre at Virnoda village in Pernem taluka collected the re-NEET answer sheets from candidates at 5 pm, 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
