The public notice reads, "It is requested that students complete this exercise by 14 July 2026 (up to 11:50 P.M.) to enable NTA to complete the refund process without any delay. On Monday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu claimed the NEET paper leak had “crushed the dreams of millions of students” and the BJP brought disaster to the students' future. Only 10,28,223 candidates confirmed their bank accounts till July 7.

In a major reform, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced during a press conference that from next year onwards, the NEET UG 2027 exam will be held in a computer-based test (CBT) mode.

20 candidates who took the re-NEET 2026 at a centre in Goa were allegedly denied the additional 15 minutes of paper time introduced for the re-exam.
