NEW DELHI: Marking the third anniversary of the National Education Policy, prime minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam today, July 29. The event, co-hosted by the ministry of education and the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship will serve as a momentous occasion to reflect on the progress made with respect to NEP 2020 and to chart the course for the future.

Sharing a social media post, the prime minister said: “Looking forward to being a part of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam, which marks #3YearsOfNEP. The National Education Policy has transformed the sector and given an impetus to innovation and research. It will benefit the youth for generations to come.”

During the ceremony, PM Modi will likely launch a diverse array of initiatives that are poised to drive forward the objectives of the NEP 2020.

NEP 2020, unveiled by the union cabinet of India on July 29, 2020, brought sweeping changes, replacing the long-standing National Policy on Education from 1986. This visionary policy lays down the blueprint for transforming the education system in India.

The NEP's goal is to globalize India's education system, prioritizing the liberation of every student's creative potential and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
