NEST 2024 registration closes today; application fee, exam pattern

NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar will close the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 registration today, June 3. Interested and eligible candidates can fill up the NEST 2024 application form by visiting the official website, nextexam.in. The NEST 2024 admit card will be issued on June 15.

The NEST 2024 examination is structured to evaluate students' understanding and knowledge on subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. The NEST 2024 exam is offering a total of 257 seats, with 200 allocated for NISER and 57 for UMDAE CEBS, respectively.

The NEST 2024 examination is scheduled for June 30. The NEST 2024 exam will be conducted in two shifts from 9 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 6 pm. The NEST 2024 result will be declared on July 10.

NEST 2024 application fee

Candidates are required to pay the NEST 2024 application fee to complete the registration process. The NEST 2024 application fee for General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) is Rs 1, 400. On the other hand, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PwD) and women candidates are required to pay Rs 700 as NEST 2024 application fee.

NEST 2024 exam pattern

The NEST 2024 exam will be held online in computer-based mode. The duration of the NEST 2024 exam is 93 hours 30 minutes. The NEST 2024 carries a total of 200 marks. The paper will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Multiple Selection Questions (MSQs). In total , there will be a total of 68 questions. Candidates will 2.5 marks for each correct answer in MCQs and 4 for MSQs. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for incorrect answers.
