The National Institute of Design (NID) has begun the seat allotment process for the second round of counselling for admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programme. Eligible candidates shortlisted in the second round of eat NID BDes seat allotment should confirm their admission by June 15.

Candidates can check the NID BDes seat allotment 2025 through the official website at admissions.nid.edu by entering their email ID and date of birth. Candidates who are provisionally allotted a seat will have to pay the non-refundable token fee and upload the required documents by 5 pm on June 15, 2025.
Shortlisted candidates will be provisionally allotted seats on June 19, based on their preferred institute campus, order of merit, available seats, and category. The institute will issue provisional admission letters only to candidates who confirm their admission by paying the token fee and uploading the necessary documents.
“If the candidate fails to make the payment of the NON-REFUNDABLE token fees for the confirmation of seat (allotted in Round 02) by 5 pm, Sunday, 15 June 2025, the provisional allocation of seat will be cancelled, and the seat will be allotted to the next qualifying candidate in the order of merit,” the official notice said.
Candidates from the general, economically weaker section (GEN-EWS), other backward class–non-creamy layer (OBC-NCL), scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and persons with disabilities (PwD) categories should pay a token fee of Rs 30,000, along with applicable convenience charges. For overseas candidates, the token fee is Rs 75,000, plus convenience charges.

The candidate will have to upload the following documents as separate PDF files, each not exceeding 2 MB in size.
