Download NowThe National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will commence the NIOS Board Exams in March-April 2026 registration today, November 21. Candidates can apply for the NIOS March and April exam 2026 on the official website, sdmis.nios.ac.in, by December 20.

For students enrolled in stream-I, block-I for the March and April 2026 exams and exams before September and October 2025 public examinations by December 20 without late fee payment. NIOS will soon announce the NIOS 10th, 12th public exam timetable 2026.
Candidates can register for NIOS exams with a late fee payment of Rs 150. The registration with late fee payment will begin on December 21 to December 31. A consolidated late fee of Rs 1,600 will be accepted from January 1 till 10.

Furthermore, as per the NIOS official notice, students must ensure a compulsory gap of two years from the block/session and the year of passing the secondary exam for the purpose of obtaining a passing certificate.
However, students who do not have the requisite two-year gap can register for a maximum of four subjects, including the subjects for which they are already qualified for the forthcoming March and April 2026 examinations.
Students are advised to carefully select the subjects accordingly to appear in the NIOS exams. The requisite exam fee must be paid online through the NIOS website, along with the required documents, for application submission.
