Research institutions have been ranked separately for the first time. “Some of the very good research happens in them but they don’t show in numbers and they should be included”, said minister of education Dharmendra Pradhan while announcing the NIRF ranking 2021 at the virtual event today. Pradhan also wondered why institutions like IISc were reluctant to “promote their own achievements”.
