NIRF Ranking 2024: Jamia Hamdard knocks NIPER Hyderabad out of top spot in pharmacy
NIPER Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, secured second, third and fourth positions, respectively, in the NIRF 2024 rankings.

NEW DELHI: Jamia Hamdard, Delhi, has reclaimed the top spot among pharmaceutical institutes ranked as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 and announced on Monday by the union education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan. Last year, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Hyderabad had topped in NIRF ranking of pharmacy colleges. However, for the four years before that, Jamia Hamdard has been claiming the top position in the pharmacy category.
NIPER Hyderabad and BITS Pilani have secured second and third positions, respectively. Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) has retained the fifth.
The ninth edition of NIRF 2024 includes three new categories – open universities, skill universities and state government-funded universities. Last year, the agriculture and allied sectors category was added.

NIRF Ranking 2024: Top pharmacy colleges and changes
NIPER Mohali, which was ranked sixth last year has been pushed lower, into the ninth position, this year. The new entry into the top 10 pharmacy college list is SVKM’s Narsee Monjee College of Management Studies which was ranked 11th last year. The list of top 10 pharmacy colleges in the country is given below.
