NIRF Ranking 2025 Pharmacy: Jamia Hamdard still best, BITS Pilani replaces NIPER Hyderabad in second place

NIRF Pharmacy Ranking 2025: Panjab University moves back into top 5 as ICT Mumbai falls behind; SRM IST Chennai joins top 10
NIRF Ranking 2025 Pharmacy: For the second year, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, has been declared the top pharmacy college in India. Dharmedra Pradhan, education minister, announced the 10th edition of National Institutional Ranking Framework’s (NIRF) India Rankings 2025 on Thursday.

This year, the private Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) Pilani secured the second position, pushing the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Hyderabad to the fifth position.
Also, Panjab University joined the top five universities, finding place in the third spot.
NIRF Ranking 2025: Pharmacy colleges and changes
While Jamia Hamdard retains last year’s position, Panjab University moved four ranks to find itself in third.
Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai has slipped out of the top five altogether and is now placed sixth. JJ College of Pharmacy, Mysore, has similarly fallen by one position to the seventh.
JJ College of Pharmacy in Ooty, Tamil Nadu, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Science in Udupi, Karnataka; and NIPER Mohali in Punjab, retain their fourth, eighth and ninth positions, respectively.
The new entry in top 10 pharmaceutical colleges is SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST) Chennai, Tamil Nadu, securing tenth position, pushing SVKM`s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai to 11th position.

This year, NIRF’s India Rankings 2025 have been announced for 17 categories, with a ranking on the sustainable development goals the new addition.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras secured top rank in engineering category for the tenth time and seventh time in ‘overall’ ranking . Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is the top university ; Jadavpur University the top state institution ; NLSIU Bengaluru the top law school and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad , the top management school.
