NITs with lowest cut-off for BTech CSE; admissions closed at 7 lakh JEE Main rank last year

Download EBookNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Mains 2025) session 2 exams from April 1 to 8 for admission to BE, BTech, BArch and BPlanning. The NIT cut-off percentile was increased last year for most of the popular courses offered in NIT Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), NIT Surthkal, Karnataka, NIT Warangal.

JEE Main Most Scoring Concept: January 2025 Session | April 2025 Session
Students who are aspiring to pursue engineering programmes in National Institutes of Technology (NITs) can give the JEE Main 2nd attempt to improve their score. The JEE Main final merit list 2025 will be prepared by taking the best of two scores in case a candidate appeared in both January and April sessions.
Unlike IITs, which require students to qualify JEE Mains 2025 and JEE Advanced 2025 for admission into its BTech courses, NITs admit candidates based on their JEE Main rank. The JEE Main results 2025 for session 1 was declared on February 11 at the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. A total of 14 students, including one female student, obtained a 100 NTA score, as per the JEE Main toppers 2025 list .
The cut-offs for 4-year BTech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in top NITs saw an increase last year. The top institutes, such as NIT Surathkal, Karnataka opened the CSE admission for JEE Main AIR 14 and closed for the open state category admission at 1615 rank.
Last year, the closing rank for BTech CSE at NIT Tirchy was 1224. While NIT Warangal admitted JEE Main AIR 2804 under home state (HS) category at the end of 5th round of JoSAA counselling.
NITs with lowest cut-offs for CSE
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is the most sought-after course among the engineering aspirants. Candidates who did not perform well in JEE Mains 2025 can check the lowest cut-offs for CSE at NITs, as per 5th JoSAA counselling held last year.
