AILET 2026 counselling registration opens tomorrow for 120 BA LLB (Hons) seats

The National Law University (NLU Delhi) has announced the online counselling schedule for All India Law Admission Test 2026 (AILET 2026) for admission to BA LLB (Hons.) programme. The AILET 2026 counselling registration link will open tomorrow, December 19 at 6 pm.

Around 22,532 candidates appeared for the AILET 2026 entrance test for admission to 120 BA LLB (Hons) seats at NLU Delhi. The counselling registration link will be hosted at NLU Delhi’s official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.

“Based on the AILET merit list, category wise candidates shall be invited for online counselling registration for admission to law programme , in a ratio of approximately three candidates for each available seat in the respective category,” as per the official notification.

Eligible candidates will receive an email or SMS on their registered email ID or mobile number for AILET 2026 counselling process. The registrations will be closed on December 27, 2025.

AILET 2026: Counselling fee, documents

General category candidates need to deposit Rs 30,000 as AILET 2026 counselling registration fee, while Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Persons with Disability (PwD) law aspirants should have to pay Rs 20,000.

The AILET 2026 counselling registration fee should have to be paid through online mode such as Credit/Debit Card, Net-banking, UPI, etc. only. Payment through any other mode will not be accepted, the official notification reads.

Moreover, candidates must upload the required self-attested documents in serial order (in PDF format in one file) while registering for AILET 2026 online counselling. The documents include:

• Class 12 certificates or mark sheets showing a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (42% in case of OBC's and 40% for SC/ST/Person with Disability) or equivalent by June 1, 2026.
• Class 10 mark sheet.
  Valid character certificate from the last attended institution (not more than six months old).
• Valid category certificate (PwD/SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
• List of OBCs or under the Delhi State List of OBCs (Notified by the Government of NCT of Delhi) on or after April 1, 2025.
