CAT 2025 result expected in December third week; four years result date trends

The Common Admission Test 2025 (CAT 2025) result for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes is expected to be announced tentatively in the first week of January 2026, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) said in an official notification.

However, as per the previous years’ trends, the CAT results have typically been announced two days after the release of the final answer key. Therefore, the CAT 2025 results are expected to be declared on December 19, as the final answer key was issued on December 17, 2025.

Notably, there is another factor affecting the expected CAT 2025 result date. The previous trends indicate that there is usually a gap of around 24 to 25 days between the CAT examination and declaration of results. Hence, on the basis of this pattern, the CAT 2025 results are likely to be announced between December 24 and 26.

IIM Kozhikode conducted the CAT 2025 examination in a computer-based format in multiple shifts on November 30. Around 2.58 lakh candidates, seeking admission to MBA and other management programmes appeared for the college entrance test.

As per the subject experts, the CAT 2025 slot 3 exam was slightly more difficult than slot 1 and 2 examinations. The CAT 2025 final answer key was released after accepting only one objection out of 187 raised by candidates across four sections.

Candidates who appeared for the CAT 2025 entrance test, will be able to download the CAT 2025 scorecard through the official website at iiimcat.ac.in.
