NMC asks medical colleges to validate NEET PG, SS seat data at nmc.org.in

In case of any discrepancy in number of seats and recognition status of the course, medical colleges are required to intimate to the NMC within 15 days.

NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has requested medical colleges to validate the data on the number of seats available for use of registration of additional qualification and admission or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - postgraduate (NEET PG) and super specialty (SS) counselling.

The medical commission in its latest notice informed that the number of seats in various postgraduate (PG) courses and their recognition status in the medical colleges across the country is displayed on the NMC website, nmc.org.in.

The data displayed on the official website is to be used for the purpose of registration of additional qualification and admission/counseling for NEET PG and NEET SS, the NMC said.

“In case of any discrepancy is found in number of seats and/or recognition status of the course, the same should be intimated to the National Medical Commission within 15 days from the issue of this letter with supporting documents,” it said in the notice.

It further informed that counselling to the medical courses will be strictly as per the data displayed on the website of the National Medical Commission.

The medical colleges will be able to view the college and course name, number of PG seats and the status of MCI and NMC recognition at nmc.org.in under the information desk tab on the homepage.
