NEW DELHI: The Karnataka Government has decided to merge Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET) with Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and hold a single entrance exam from 2023 session onwards for admissions to engineering, medical and professional courses.

State higher education minister CN Ashwath Narayan took the decision in a meeting with the Federation of Governors of Private Vocational Institutes on Wednesday, June 23.

“Currently, the State Government and Comed-K are conducting a separate General Entrance Examination (CET) for admission to the Vocational Education Course. A consortium of private vocational education institutions has agreed to hold a single CET from next year. The deal will be signed soon,” Narayan said in a tweet.

The officials also decided to increase the fees for admission to engineering and other professional courses by only 10 percent while there was a demand for a 25% hike. “The decision was taken in accordance with a report by the Committee on charges despite a demand for a 25 percent fee hike,” the minister added.

Meanwhile, COMEDK has released the provisional answer key of COMEDK UGET 2022. Applicants who appeared for the exam can check their COMEDK UGET answer key through the candidate login. The details required to check the COMEDK answer key are user ID and password.

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has also released official KCET 2022 answer key on kea.kar.nic.in. Candidates can download KCET answer key 2022 without any login credentials.
