NSTIW opens applications for admission to skill development courses for women; apply by July 12

The National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) has opened applications for admission to its skill development programmes under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) for the academic session 2026-27. Interested candidates can apply for the NCVET-approved skill development courses through the official website at nstiwnoida.dgtmsde.in.

The NSTIW’s online application window will be open until July 12 and candidates can apply for the programmes up to 6 pm.

The skill development courses are aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), which enables trainees to pursue higher education and access various employment opportunities.

NSTI Women Noida offers courses in AI, drone, semiconductor tech

“As a premier institution dedicated to empowering women through quality vocational education, NSTI(W) Noida offers industry-oriented training in a wide range of conventional and emerging sectors, including Artificial Intelligence, Drone Technology, Semiconductor Technology, 5G Networks, Fashion Design, Computer Applications, Computer Aided Embroidery and Designing, Interior Design, Cosmetology, and Front Office Operations, among others,” the official statement read.

Recently, lieutenant governor Vinai Kumar Saxena launched an employment-linked skill training programme for Ladakhi youth, PTI reported.

Under the skill development programme, 36 shortlisted candidates from all seven districts of the Union Territory will undergo industry-oriented residential training in New Delhi with assured placement assistance, the report said.

In addition, on June 30, the Maharashtra government approved the establishment of a private skill university in Mumbai to strengthen skill-based higher education and prepare youth for employment opportunities.

Furthermore, the state government also announced a Rs 7,000 crore skill development roadmap to feature modernisation of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), industry partnerships and international placement initiatives.
