The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 exam dated on May 28, 2026 due to Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid). The revised examination dates for the affected candidates will be announced by the NTA in due course. Candidates are instructed to regularly check the official websites for timely updates and further announcements regarding the revised schedule.

The NTA has also emphasized that students should remain alert and follow official communication only to avoid misinformation. Candidates can visit the official websites, including nta.ac.in and cuet.nta.nic.in, to stay updated with the latest notifications related to the examination.

The official notice reads, “In light of the DoPT O.M. No. F. No. 12/3/2023-JCA dated 22.05.2026 regarding the change in the date of the holiday on account of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), and in continuation of the Public Notice dated 05 May 2026, it is hereby informed that the CUET (UG) 2026 examinations scheduled to be held on 28.05.2026 in both shifts stand postponed.”

CUET UG 2026: Exam pattern and marking scheme

The CUET UG 2026 exam follows a computer-based test (CBT) format. As per the official exam structure, the test is divided into three main sections: Language, Domain-Specific Subjects, and General Test. Each section consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and all questions are compulsory. Every test paper contains 50 questions, and candidates are generally given 60 minutes to complete each subject.

CUET UG 2026 awards +5 marks for every correct answer, while 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect response. Unattempted questions carry no negative marking.
