NTA Exam Calendar 2025 Live: JEE Main, NEET, CUET schedule to be announced soon; download at nta.ac.in

JEE Main 2025 session 1 is expected to be held in the last week of January and session 2 in the first week of April next year.  

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is conducted to provide a standardized admission process for undergraduate (UG) programs across various central, state, and other participating universities in India. It ensures that students from different educational boards are evaluated on a common platform, addressing disparities in board exam difficulty levels.

National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) twice annually.

JEE Main 2025 will be held twice in a year. JEE Main 2025 session 1 will be held in January while session 2 will be held in April.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will likely publish the exam calendar 2025 at nta.ac.in this week. The NTA 2025 calendar will include important dates for JEE Main 2025, NEET 2025, CUET UG 2025, and UGC NET 2025. 

The CUET UG 2025 exam date is likely to be announced in October, as per past trends. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the exam date along with details such as registration dates, syllabus, exam cities, pattern, marking scheme, and the list of participating universities on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.

There is no upper age limit to appear for CUET UG 2025. However, candidates are required to meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the participating universities such as having passed Class 12 or equivalent examination.

The JEE Main 2025 exam will be conducted every year in 13 languages; English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Candidates will have to keep to the below-mentioned documents to complete their JEE Mains registration:

• Recent passport-size photograph
• Registered mobile number and email ID 
• Signature of the candidate
• Valid ID proof details 
• Date of birth proof 
• Class 12 mark sheet 
• Caste certificate (If applicable) 
• Debit/Credit card, net banking details for JEE Main application fee payment

JEE main exam is held in the following modes:

• Paper 1 (BE,  BTech) in computer-based test (CBT) mode only.

• Paper 2A (BArch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in computer Based test (CBT) mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on a drawing sheet of A4 size.

• Paper 2B (BPlanning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II), and Planning-Based Questions (Part-III) in computer-based test (CBT) mode only.

The syllabus for the CUET exam for which candidates need to prepare is as follows: 

• Language Subjects: Language to be tested through reading comprehension (based on different types of passages–factual, literary, and narrative), literary aptitude, and vocabulary.

• Domain Subjects: As per the Class 12 syllabus only. 

• General Test: General knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, quantitative reasoning (simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, statistics), logical and analytical reasoning.

A total of 200 questions will be asked in the NEET 2024 divided in 4 sections, out of which candidates will have to answer 180 questions.

NRI/Foreign students must have passed a qualifying exam equivalent to a Class 12 qualification in their respective country, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Aspirants are required to pass both the theory and practical exams in each of these subjects, along with English, in the qualifying examination.

The qualifying criteria are as follows: candidates from the unreserved category must secure 50%, while those from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Reserved Physically Handicapped (PH) categories are required to obtain 40%. For candidates in the Unreserved Physically Handicapped (PH) category, the qualifying mark is 45%.

Candidates can attempt the JEE Main exam twice a year. Session 1 will take place in January, followed by session 2 in April.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions was conducted for a total of 63 subjects, comprising 33 languages, 29 domain-specific subjects, and one general test. This year, two new subject papers—fashion studies and tourism—were added.

The Common University Entrance Test undergraduate (CUET-UG) is conducted to facilitate admissions into central universities and other participating institutions. In 2025, the exam will be held in multiple shifts to accommodate an increased number of candidates.

NTA has not announced the JEE Main 2025 exam schedule yet. The Goa Board has recently rescheduled the Class 12 final exams in response to the JEE Main schedule. In a notification, the board stated, "After careful consideration, it was acknowledged that JEE 2025 is expected to conclude by the end of January, leaving students with insufficient time to prepare adequately for their board exams."
