NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the second round of the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) on April 6. The JEE Main session 2 exam will be conducted for BE and BTech papers, or paper 1, BArch (paper 2A) and BPlanning (paper 2B) papers. The JEE Main 2023 session 2 exam will continue till April 15. The first round was held in January. The merit list will be prepared up on the basis of NTA scores in these two sessions and the best of the two will be taken into consideration.
The JEE Main BE, BTech paper will have questions from mathematics, physics and chemistry. Each subject of JEE Main 2023 will have two sections. Section A will be held for multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates will have to attempt any five questions out of 10.

There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answers marked.
There will be a JEE Main 2023 negative marking for Section A and Section B in all the three subjects. While four marks will be allotted for each correct answer, one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer marked.
For questions unanswered in JEE Main 2023 and marked for review, no marks will be provided.
According to the JEE Main 2023 marking scheme, if more than one option is found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options and for questions where all options are found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
If none of the options from JEE Main 2023 question paper is found correct for a question or a question is found to be wrong or is dropped then full marks will be alloted to all candidates who have appeared irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.
