NEW DELHI: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will close the online registration process window for the Jawaharlal Nehru Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2024 today. Candidates can apply for the JNVST 2024 on the official website, cbseitms.rcil.gov.in.

The NVS registration process for admission to Class 6 students is free-of-cost. The process of submission of the online application involves only a single stage.

The window for making corrections such as gender, category, area, disability and medium of JNVST 2024 examination will remain open till September 2. A candidate who is studying in Class 6 in a district is allowed to apply for admission to JNV in the same district only. Only the bonafide resident candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been located and studying class V in the same district are eligible to apply for admission.
Candidates should have studied Class 5 in any of the government or government recognised schools located in the district where the JNV is located. The candidate seeking admission should not have been born before May 1, 2012 and after July 31, 2014.
Candidates who have passed Class 5 before the session 2023-24 or repeated candidates are not allowed.
Candidates have to submit the bonafide residence certificate of the parent at the time document verification process after the provisional selection.
A maximum of eighty students are admitted in Class VI in each Vidyalaya through a Selection Test subject to availability of suitable candidates. At least, 75% of the seats in a district will be filled by candidates provisionally selected from rural areas of the district.
