One week to go for CLAT 2022; 5 mistakes students should avoid

NEW DELHI: With only one week left for CLAT 2022, candidates should now focus on giving final touch to their months-long preparation. However, many candidates during the last week before CLAT 2022 exam, make common mistakes in their preparation which mitigates their chances of getting success in the exam.

In the remaining days, candidates should not stress about the exam more, but review their preparation strategically. While some candidates are familiar with the key tenets of exam preparation, many overlook common mistakes they should avoid during CLAT 2022 exam preparation.

1. Not revising the basic topics
   

CLAT questions are very fundamental in nature. By not revising the basics, especially in maths and legal aptitude, candidates can commit a big mistake. These sections are very tricky and candidates should clear their concepts before the examination.

2. Leaving the doubts unaddressed

Doubts are something that requires to be cleared. If a candidate has even a single doubt in any topic they should get it clarified to avoid last minute undue stress.

3. Not writing and evaluating CLAT 2022 mocks tests

Many candidates attempt the CLAT mock tests and sample papers a week before the examination, however, fail to analyse the test paper. By analysing CLAT mock tests candidates can know their strengths and weaknesses. Also, mock tests help candidates understand where they stand in the competition.

4. Not preparing for the exam day

Six days are good enough to prepare an exam day strategy. Many candidates prepare for six to seven months for the CLAT exam, but they fail to make exam day strategy, as a result, their overall performance gets affected.

CLAT is a lengthy paper, and contains questions from quantitative techniques, English, current affairs, logical reasoning, and legal reasoning sections. Candidates should decide which section they should attempt first and how much time should be given to a particular question or section.

The last one week befor the CLAT examination happens to be the time when most candidates feel anxious. Ignoring the stress, and frustration can impact their health, and affect their months-long preparation. Therefore, candidates should avoid the stress and focus on the examination.
