NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interaction with students and teachers on board examination and handling stress begins. This is the first virtual edition of the annual Pariksha Pe Charcha event. Answering exam-related questions from participating students and teachers at the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021, PM Modi said, "Not meeting with you is a huge loss for me". Meanwhile, #Cancelboardexams is trending on Twitter. Asking to cancel board exams 2021, a student tweeted, "Political gatherings are banned but mass examinations are okay?!"
Speaking on exam stress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "You don't fear the exam but the atmosphere created around exams."
"Exams represent an opportunity and we should see them as that and not run from them... What you're not comfortable with, you end up expending 80% of your energy on that. I would tell students to distribute your energy and time equally," PM Modi added.
Students selected through the Pariksha Pe Charcha contest will be allowed to pose questions to the prime minister.
PM Modi, through his official social media handle, said: “The first-ever virtual #PPC2021 is going to be an exciting interaction, covering a diverse range of topics. You could be an #ExamWarrior, a parent or a teacher...there’s something for everyone.”
The last rendition of Pariksha Pe Charcha was held in the Talkatora stadium in New Delhi. PM Modi, in an earlier promotional video, had announced that this will be the first virtual edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha.

"Our nation is celebrating its 75th Independence Day. I have one task for you after your exams. Find out 75 incidents on the lives of freedom fighters in your own mother tongue as well as in English or Hindi," said PM Modi on PPC Live.
"There are a lot of successful people who haven't done well in school exams but are experts in their field. We should not look at others and think that we'll only be successful if we do what they do. This is not a right thought," PM Modi to student who equated exam failure to failure in life.

"COVID-19 has taught us not to take anything for granted. We have understood each other better during this year. It has helped the emotional bonding of each family," said PM Modi.
PM Modi tells a student from Delhi to leave his stress and worry outside the examination hall. He says, "There are many ways to deal with exam stress in my book, Exam Warriors."
Your focus should be on answering the questions and not whether something new will come. There are a lot of activities to give exams without stress. Many of these activities are available on the Exam Warrior book and the NAMO app," said PM Modi.
Students should not attempt to "memorise" what they learn, but "internalise", PM Modi tells a students from Pushkar, in Rajasthan, asking why her friends struggle to remember what they have studied.
"Delete this thought from your mind that your memory is weak. In reality, you remember a lot of things like your mother tongue. The things you like, the things you have no effort at remembering because those have become a part of your live that you never like. This is not about memory but about internalizaiton," PM Modi said on PPC Live.
A mother asks PM Modi about her children eating junk food. He wonders if it is not possible to have a game on good food that children can play once a week. He finally quips with a laugh, "However, this is somewhat outside my syllabus".
"It's good to see dreams but to sit with those dreams and to sleep for those dreams is not right. Students should move forward from their dreams and work on how to achieve them." said PM Modi on PPC Live.
"Children are very smart. It is difficult to say what you will or will not do, but there is every possibility that what you are doing, he looks at it very closely and is tempted to repeat it," prime minister on Pariksha Pe Charcha live.
"We make certain parameters and certain dreams and make our children instruments to fulfill the parents' dreams. When the children are unable to fulfill parents' dreams they say their children have a loss of motivation and inspiration," PM Modi said on PPC Live.
"Don't try to impose values on children," PM Modi to parents.
"First you should self evaluate whether it so that when you see your children live a life that is different from one that you chose for yourself then you think values are going down. This is not so," PM Modi told a concerned parent.
"Creativity takes you much farther than knowledge can," prime minister Narendra Modi said.
"Use free time to improve curiosity and to find out something to do that will be more productive. Something that will help you with your individuality like sports, music, painting, etc.," prime minister Narendra Modi said.
"You are focussing on free-time even during exams. free-time is not free, it is a treasure, it is an opportunity," said PM Modi answering a students' question on utilising free time.
"Talk to students about non-academic stuff and guide them rather than scolding them," PM Modi to teachers
Punyo Sunya, Arunachal Pradesh asks PM Modi why on not being able to study before exams. PM Modi, answering the student, said: "When you like something more with that you become very comfortable. but those things you are comfortable with you spend more time on that. Energy should be distributed equally. Give equal time to each subject ."

"It is not as if you are giving exams for first time. You know that exams are coming in April. if it is not sudden. That means you are not afraid of exams but something else what is that an atmosphere created around you that this is the exams this is life. "
Addressing parents, PM Modi said " Some parents are too involved in their child's life and because of this they don't know the capability of their student".

Last year, at Pariksha Pe Charcha, PM Modi urged parents to "not tell their children that examination is everything”. Addressing parents he said that there are many avenues these days and to think if a child has not done well in one examination is the end of the road, is not correct.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have been sharing exam tips on their official Twitter handle ahead of the prime minister's address at Pariksha Pe charcha.

Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' said that students from 81 countries have registered for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021.

As per the ministry of education, more than 14 lakh students have already registered during the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021 online registration contest.
