Candidates can access the GATE 2025 answer key on the official websites: gate2025.iitr.ac.in and goaps.iitr.ac.in.

IIT Roorkee introduced a new two-paper combination list for GATE 2025, which allowed registered candidates to select two subjects instead of one. Candidates chose their subjects from the combinations approved by the GATE authorities.

• Engineering Mathematics - 13 marks
• Subject Questions - 72 marks
• General Aptitude - 15 marks

Candidates can use the GATE 2025 answer key to estimate their probable scores by following these steps. 

• First, count the total number of correct answers and assign marks accordingly to determine the overall score.
• Now, calculate negative marks for incorrect attempts, applicable only to multiple-choice questions (MCQs), as numerical answer type (NAT) questions have no negative marking. The score calculation is as follows:
• MCQ Marks = Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)
• Total marks (1 mark) = (1 × number of correct attempts) – (1/3 × number of wrong attempts)
• Total marks (2 marks) = (2 × number of correct attempts) – (2/3 × number of wrong attempts)
• NAT Marks = Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)

The GATE 2025 answer key will include the exam name, organising institute, paper code, exam date and shift, question numbers, correct options, question types (MCQ, MSQ, NAT), officially correct answers, and candidates' recorded responses.

IIT Roorkee will release the GATE 2025 answer key along with candidates' response sheets. Candidates will have the opportunity to challenge the provisional key before it is finalised for result calculation.

IIT Roorkee has not announced the GATE 2025 answer key release date. The institute will issue the GATE answer key 2025 on the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
