3 Years Of NEP 2020: Prime Minister Modi releases first instalment of funds under PM SHRI Scheme
During the inauguration, PM Modi also launched 100 books in 12 Indian languages.
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam today, July 29. The Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam is being held here to mark the three years of the launch of the new National Education Policy (NEP).
During the programme, PM Modi released the first instalment of funds under the PM SHRI Scheme. The schools under the scheme will nurture students in a way that they become engaged, productive, and contributing citizens for building an equitable, inclusive, and plural society as envisaged under the NEP.
Prime minister while inaugurating the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam today said: "There is a hidden message in this journey of Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam. This message is - 'of the confluence of antiquity and modernity'. That is, on the one hand, our education system is saving the ancient traditions of India, on the other hand, we are progressing equally fast in the field of science and hi-tech technology."
During the inauguration, prime minister Modi also launched 100 books on education and skill curriculum in 12 Indian languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
The prime minister also interacted with students during his visit. The two-day Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam is being held at Bharat Mandapam here at the old Pragati Maidan.
