Professor Neeraj Dwivedi appointed director of IIM Kashipur

Professor Neeraj Dwivedi has been appointed as the new director of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur. Diwvedi is an alumnus of IIM Lucknow and was working as a professor in strategic management. He was also dean and a board member at IIM Lucknow.

Dwivedi completed his fellow programme in management (FPM) from IIM Lucknow in 2004, his master's in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in 1994, and his bachelor's in engineering from GB Pant University in 1992. He was previously associated with IIM Indore from 2006 to 2010 and with IIM Kozhikode from 2004 to 2006.

Apart from 18 years of experience in management research and teaching, Dwivedi had spent around 6 years in the corporate sector in various roles, mainly in the food processing and consulting industry.

Dwivedi held several senior positions at IIM Lucknow, including chairman of post graduate programme (PGP), student affairs and placement, and admissions.

According to The Indian Express reports, Dwivedi has helped IIM Lucknow to achieve AACSB accreditation. Notably, he had also served as the national convener for the Common Admission Test (CAT) in 2017, overseeing India’s one of the most competitive exams.
