Rahul Gandhi demanded the Indian government to share details of the evacuation plan

UDHAGAMANDALAM: The Nilgiris District administration on Wednesday asked parents and guardians of 13 students from the district, who are stranded in war-hit Ukraine to submit details in order to bring them back safely and easily.
The details pertaining to phone numbers, names of colleges and address of the exact place where the children are staying, said an official press release here.

Rahul Gandhi demanded the Indian government to share details such as the number of students evacuated from Ukraine and stranded in the war-torn country, and the evacuation plan.
"To avert further tragedy, GOI must share: 1. How many students have been evacuated. 2. How many are still stranded in Ukraine. 3. Region-wise detailed evacuation plan. We owe a clear strategy and communication to the families involved," said Gandhi in a tweet.

Many parents of students who are stranded in Kharkiv, Ukraine staged a protest in Jammu and demanded the early evacuation of the students. They also asked people to pray for the safe return of the trapped students.
