The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced a special provision for Class 10 and Class 12 students from the open school category who appeared for the March 2026 examinations. The move is aimed at helping students who need to clear a subject or improve their performance.
As per the board's notification, students can apply for reappearance, compartment, or performance improvement examinations in one subject only. This opportunity will be available during the supplementary examination session scheduled for July/August 2026.
The board has said that these examinations will be conducted alongside the July/August 2026 open school (block-2) examinations.
Students who were unable to clear a subject or wish to improve their marks in a single subject can make use of this provision. The examination will be held as part of the supplementary exam schedule announced by the board.

PSEB has clearly stated that this special facility is restricted to one subject during the July/August examination cycle.
The board has clarified that students who want to improve their performance in more than one subject will not be able to do so during the July/August 2026 examinations. Instead, such candidates can avail themselves of this facility during the annual examinations scheduled to be held in March 2027.
Apart from compartment and reappearance candidates, students looking to improve their performance in one subject can also apply under this arrangement. This gives candidates an opportunity to enhance their results without waiting for the next annual examination cycle.
