PTU Admission 2021 start: B.Tech Registrations through JEE Main or Class 12

New Delhi: I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, has started the registrations for B.Tech courses from September 10 at ptuadmissions.nic.in. Counselling is online and will be held in two rounds. The PTU B.Tech admission schedule has also been released by the university.

Registration for Round 1 of PTU B.Tech admissions through JEE Main end on September 13, 2021. PTU admission process is for affiliated engineering colleges of I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda and the B.Tech agriculture course offered by the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana (on the basis of JEE Main only).

Registrations for Punjab B.Tech admissions through JEE Main for the second round will be available from September 27 to 29, 2021 with the rank allotments on October 3, 2021.

Steps to register for Punjab B.Tech admissions

• First register at ptuadmissions.nic.in using the links given (through JEE Main or class 12)
• Click on the “New Candidates Registration” link and agree to the declaration that pops up
• Enter personal details, contact details and choose a password. Submit the details
• Once the registration is done, fill the application form in detail
• Next pay Rs. 2,000/- (Non-Refundable) for the centralized online counselling registration
• Save and submit the form

Ranks will be allotted in the next stage of the counselling process followed by choice filling and seat allotment as per the given schedule.

It is to be noted that preference shall be given to JEE Main students for seat allotment and the vacant seats (after exhausting JEE Main Seats in round 2) shall be filled on the basis of10+2 Basis Merit ranks.
