Students can surrender seats allotted in Punjab medical colleges in NEET PG counselling round 1 till AUgust 26 if they want to shift after round 2.

NEW DELHI: Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) Faridkot has allowed students who joined medical and dental colleges in Punjab after NEET PG counselling round 1 can surrender their seats if they want to shift after round 2 of the counselling process.
Students who joined under All India Quota (AIQ) of NEET PG round 1 can surrender the seats till August 26 with free exit. Interested candidates will have to submit an application of surrendering the seat to the principal of the college concerned.

The applications can be submitted through the online portal of the colleges so that vacancy for NEET PG round 2 will get updated automatically, the BFUHS said. If candidates do not submit the online application they will be considered as joined, it added.
If a candidate applies for surrendering the seat after August 26 then a fee equivalent to the amount of penalty will be deducted.
The BFUHS has also started the process of Punjab NEET PG counselling round 2 on August 18. Students can apply for various medical and dental colleges on the official website -- bfuhs.ac.in. The candidates will have to pay Rs 5,900 admission fee, and security deposit of Rs 25,000 for government colleges and Rs 2,00,00 for private colleges.
The registration window will close on August 23. The provisional allotment Punjab NEET PG counselling round 2 will be declared on September 9. The final list will be out on September 5.
