NEW DELHI: Panjab University will be closing the application window for PUTHAT 2022 today, June 16. Candidates interested in taking this hotel management and tourism entrance exam need to fill the PUTHAT 2022 application form by today. Candidates can apply for the PUTHAT exam 2022 at the official website - puthat.puchd.ac.in. Admit cards for the exam will be issued after June 24 in online mode.

PUTHAT is a state university-level hotel management entrance examination held by Panjab University for admission to Bachelor in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) and Bachelor in Travel and Tourism (BTTM) at the University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management. As per the PUTHAT 2022 exam date schedule, the test will be conducted on June 29, 2022, from 10 am to 11:30 am. The centre for the exam is Chandigarh only.
There are very few seats for both the programmes. The number of seats offered by the UIHTM is as follows:
For Bachelor in hotel management & catering technology: Total seats for Indian Nationals are 60. Six seats are reserved for NRI and 3 for Foreign Nationals.
For bachelor in travel and tourism management: There are total of 30 seats for students from India while 3 seats for NRI and 2 seats for foreign nationals.
Admission to these courses is offered on the basis of the scores of PUTHAT 2022.

Anyone who wishes to take admission to bachelor programs offered at the UIHTM can appear for the PUTHAT exam provided they meet the eligibility conditions of the Punjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test.
Candidates willing to apply should have passed the 10+2 examination of Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate ( 45% in case of SC/ST/PwD /BC candidates)
Candidates must have studied English as a compulsory subject at 10+2
NOTE: The candidates who have passed/appeared in 10+2 Examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are ineligible to appear in PUTHAT-2022, according to official notification.

The paper for PUTHAT will consist of 100 questions, each question carrying one mark. The total time allocated for the paper is 90 minutes. There is a negative marking, and 0.4 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Questions will be asked from the following sections:
