NEW DELHI: The Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) has invited applications from foreign medical graduates for Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) for the academic year 2024-25. Medical graduates who are eligible will be able to register through the official website, rmcjaipur.org, from June 17. The internship application schedule has been notified after the medicos staged a protest delay in starting the internship procedure.

“Allotment of seats will be done on priority basis to foreign medical graduate students of Rajasthan origin, thereafter seats can be allotted to foreign medical graduate students of other states on the basis of merit,” the official statement read.

All India Medical Students’ Association’s (AIMSA) foreign medical students wing earlier today posted on X that the students of Rajasthan are protesting due to the delay in starting internship in the state.

FMGE qualified candidates and other medical students protested last year in April as well against the limited number of seats in counselling for the mandatory internship.

Taking into consideration the difficulties in deployment of FMGs for internship, the National Medical Commission (NMC) extended the compulsory internship to two years till May 2026.
