NEW DELHI: National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 candidates have expressed their concerns over a significant hike in the security deposit amount required to participate in the Rajasthan NEET PG counselling 2024. According to the instruction booklet, the security deposit for counselling is set at Rs 1 lakh, Rs 2 lakh, and Rs 5 lakh, based on the college and choice of courses.
The last date to deposit the security amount for NEET PG counselling is tomorrow, November 23. As per the letter written by the All-Rajasthan MBBS Doctors' Association, the revised amounts represent a considerable increase compared to the fees charged in the NEET PG counselling 2023.
The association also pointed out that the All India NEET PG 2024 counselling charges Rs 25,000 for participation, further highlighting the disparity. Candidates and associations have urged the counselling board to review and revise the deposit amount, stating that the increase could lead to financial strain and mental stress for the candidates.
“In the interest of the candidates, I kindly request you to revise this security deposit amount at the earliest and align it with the previous year's charges. This will prevent unnecessary mental and financial stress for the candidates,” the English translation of the official letter read.
