NEW DELHI: Several states have declared a public holiday on Monday, January 22, to commemorate the Ram temple Pran Pratishtha event at Ayodhya. Delhi schools running in morning and general shift in Delhi to remain closed tomorrow for Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha whereas schools running in the evening shift will remain open.
The official notice read ” In accordance with the office memorandum issued by the services department of GNCTD declaring half day closure (upto 02:30 pm) of all Delhi government establishments on January 22 to enable the employees to participate in the celebrations of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha being held at Ayodhya, all government and government-aided schools of Delhi running in general and morning shift are ordered to remain closed on January 22.
UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced that all schools and educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh will be closed on January 22. In addition to schools, all liquor shops across the state will be closed tomorrow.
The Goa government has declared a holiday for government employees and schools on January 22. Apart from all government schools and institutions, all casinos will be closed for eight hours on Monday.

Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren announced that January 22 will be a public holiday to commemorate the Ayodhya Ram temple event. All schools and educational institutes will remain closed on Monday.
The Tripura government announced a half-day holiday on January 22 in view of the Ram temple consecration ceremony. “On the line of notification of the Centre, the state government has decided to declare holiday in all government offices and institutions to witness the pran pratistha of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya on January 22 till 2:30 pm,” read the official notice.
Schools and education institutes will also remain closed in Chattisgarh, Pudicherry, Haryana, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
