NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) has announced to shut internet services in 11 districts from 6AM to 6PM to prevent “another paper leak” in Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET 2023). The Board will be conducting the REET exam 2023 from February 25 to March 1.
The 11 districts where the internet services will remain shut are Alwar, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Bharatpur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kota, Sriganganagar, Tonk, and Udaipur. It said that the internet service will be closed on February 25 and 26.
According to reports, around 4-5 people have been taken in custody by the police. The Rajasthan Board’s announcement to close internet services in the districts comes after the reported REET paper leak.
“A group was caught while solving the paper in Rajasthan's Jodhpur city. They were sitting in a marriage hall solving the question paper just when the police caught them,” the Times of India reported.

The first shift of REET 2023 will begin at 9:30 AM and will end at 12 noon, while the second shift will commence at 3 pm and will conclude at 5:30 pm.
Former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot recently said the investigation in the REET paper leak case should be transparent and the outcome should come on time, the PTI reported. REET 2022 was held in September last year for over 30,000 posts. However, it was later found that the REET 2022 question paper was leaked before the exam.
