Saveetha School of Management - SIMATS joins AACSB community, expands global opportunities for students

Saveetha School of Management has joined the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, strengthening its focus on internationalisation, academic quality and global opportunities.
Saveetha School of Management (SSM), part of Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), has joined the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), marking a step towards strengthening global standards in management education.
The formal AACSB membership ceremony was held on October 6, 2026, at Saveetha Medical College in Chennai. The event was attended by the leadership of Saveetha, faculty members and students.
The membership is expected to strengthen SSM's focus on academic excellence, internationalisation, industry engagement and continuous improvement, while creating greater global opportunities for students and faculty.

The ceremony was attended by Ramya Deepak, director; Ashwani Kumar, vice chancellor; Sheeja Varghese, registrar, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences; and R. Durai Pandian, principal, Saveetha School of Management.
Prathap Das, Regional Head – South Asia, AACSB, delivered a special address at the ceremony. He highlighted the importance of global standards, continuous improvement and international collaboration in management education.
SSM's global academic focus
SSM said the AACSB membership will support its efforts to strengthen academic and research quality and expand international collaboration. The school also aims to create more globally relevant opportunities for students and faculty through the association.
The milestone also reflects the vision of N. M. Veeraiyan, founder and chancellor of SAVEETHA, whose focus has been on academic excellence, innovation and global benchmarking.
According to the institute, his leadership has guided the university's efforts to pursue international standards, strengthen academic and research quality and create globally relevant opportunities for students and faculty.

About the institute
Established in 2008, Saveetha School of Management has expanded its academic, research and industry engagement activities over the years.
The school has received recognitions, including the QS I-GAUGE Diamond Rating and secured Rank 63 in the Management category of NIRF 2025 .
The institute said joining AACSB's global community marks another step in its efforts towards academic excellence, internationalisation and industry engagement.
