NEW DELHI: Many states have reopened schools in India for Classes 9 to 12. States like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Punjab have resumed physical classes. Some states still have to make a call on the reopening of schools. Alongside, the government is also prioritizing vaccination for teachers and school staff to combat the spread of Coronavirus.

Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has recently held a meeting to review the status of schools reopening in India . The minister conducted the meeting with senior officials of the Department of School Education and Literacy. Most of the states have resumed offline classes for senior division only. Students of Classes 1 to 5 are still waiting for the reopening of schools in many states.

School reopening news in Delhi 2021 for Class 6 to 8
The decision on resuming offline classes for 6 to 8 will be taken in District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) meeting soon. The government has not announced any official dates regarding the same.
The government has reopened the schools for Classes 9 to 12 from September 1, 2021.

The schools in Odisha have been reopened for Classes 9 to 12. The schools are following all the COVID-19 precautions, however, some cases were reported in the hostels. Hence the government has issued a set of revised guidelines for schools.
