The NTA Score in JEE Main 2025 is the normalised percentile, calculated based on a candidate's performance in their session. As the exam was held in multiple shifts with different difficulty levels, raw marks are converted into percentiles through a normalisation process.

A total of 13,20,876 candidates appeared for JEE Main 2025 session 1 across all papers. This includes 12,58,136 candidates for Paper 1 (BE, BTech), 44,144 for Paper 2A (BArch), and 18,596 for Paper 2B (BPlanning).

The JEE Main seat matrix will be released on the official website. Last year, the exam was conducted for 59,937 engineering seats across 121 institutes, including 32 NITs, 26 IIITs and 40 other GFTIs.

The JEE Main 2025 marking scheme includes awarding four marks for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. No marks will be deducted for questions that are left unanswered.

NTA will announce the JEE Mains 2025 results soon on its official website,  jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2025 April session was held on April 2,3,4,7,8, and 9 for paper 1 (BE, BTech), paper 2A (BArch), paper 2B (BPlanning).

NTA has not specified the exact time for the declaration of the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 result. However, as per the official information bulletin, the result is expected to be released by April 17, 2025. Candidates should regularly check the JEE Main official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, for the latest updates.

Candidates can use the formula given below to calculate the JEE Main percentile 2025: 

(100 x Number of candidates in the session with aggregate marks less than that obtained by the candidate) / Total number of candidates who appeared in that session.

NTA will soon declare the JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 result for session 2. In JEE Main 2025 session 1 result, a total of 14 candidates achieved a 100 percentile, including 12 from the general category, one from the Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), and one from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category

A total of 12,58,136 candidates appeared for the JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 (BE/BTech), which was conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29.

The NTA only provides the JEE Main 2025 percentile score, which is calculated using the normalisation method. The formula used to calculate the percentile in JEE is given below:

Formula = (100 × number of candidates who appeared in the session with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate) / total number of candidates who appeared in that session.

The NTA will announce the JEE Main session 2 result 2025 by April 17. Candidates will have to enter their application number and password to login and download the JEE main 2025 scorecard.

NTA has not announced the JEE Main 2025 session 2 final answer key release date; however, it is expected to be out along with the JEE Main result 2025.

JoSAA 2025 counselling will be held for admission to 118 institutes, including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 38 other technical institutes. There will be five rounds of counselling, with opening and closing JEE Main ranks announced after each round.

JEE Main session 2 result 2025 will be declared by April 17, NTA said. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025 result will be announced on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad will offer BTech admissions based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main cut-off 2025. The institute does not participate in the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) counselling and conducts undergraduate engineering admissions separately on iiit.ac.in. IIITH offers two BTech programmes – computer science and engineering and electronics and communication engineering. Last year, IIIT Hyderabad closed admission to the BTech CSE programme at 866.

The top National Institutes of Technology (NITs) such as NIT Tiruchirappalli, NIT Surathkal, NIT Rourkela, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut will offer admissions to their undergraduate engineering programmes through the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) 2025. Several students alleged that their JEE Main response sheet 2025 was left 'blank' and displayed different answers than those marked by candidates, leaving even parents of aspirants anxious. The candidates have urged NTA to make corrections and publish error-free JEE Main 2025 results.
