‘Want votes? improve schools first’: CJP’s Abhijeet Dipke to launch ‘School theek karo’ campaign on August 15

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced plans to launch the ‘School theek karo’ campaign on August 15, focusing on improving the condition of government schools, particularly in rural areas.

Through the campaign, Dipke and his supporters will visit villages and talk to sarpanches to improve school infrastructure and facilities, he said during a group discussion today in Delhi.

Dipke further said that the campaign will focus on rural schools, which he described as being central to the country’s development plan.

“We start a new campaign on 15 August where we will go to every village. I will go to my village and ask the sarpanch to improve the school facilities,” Dipke said.

94,000 govt schools closed by the govt: Dipke

Around 94,000 government schools have been closed in the country, he added and criticised the government’s priorities of building a new house for the prime minister and a new parliament building, while there are no proper schools for children.

Dipke also said that government schools have been neglected for years and said that improving educational facilities in villages hold paramount importance.

“My friends are still in construction or labourers. I studied in a private school hence I was able to go to America but because they didn't get proper schools, there life is still a struggle. Our focus is on rural schools. Real India is in a village,” he added.

Highlighting that the Member of Parliament (MPs) and the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) receive funds for development works, and said that this is the opportunity that they should improve school infrastructure.

Emphasising that the elections are approaching in several states, Dipke said that political parties should have to prioritise education if they want votes.

In addition, he also said that politics should be decided on education and not on religion.
