NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to declare the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL 2024) tier-1 results soon for Group B and Group C posts. Along with the SSC CGL results 2024, the commission will also upload the tier 1 final answer key on the official website, ssc.gov.in.
The SSC conducted the CGL exam 2024 from September 9 to 26 to fill a total of 17,727 vacancies for various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in different ministries, departments, organisations of Government of India and various constitutional bodies, statutory bodies, tribunals.
Candidates who qualify the tier 1 exams will have to appear for the phase 2 exams; details of which are expected to be announced in December, as per the tentative schedule published earlier. The SSC CGL tier 2 exam date and notification will be uploaded soon at ssc.gov.in.
The marks scored by candidates in computer-based test (CBT) in multiple shifts will be normalized before preparing the merit list. The CGL tier-I question paper consisted of objective type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). As per the marking scheme, there will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Results 2024 LIVE: Score card and final answer key to be uploaded on the official website, ssc.gov.in. The recruitment exam is conducted to fill 17,727 vacancies.
SSC is expected to announce the results for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2024 tier 1 examination soon.
Candidates will need their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the SSC CGL 2024 tier 1 result.
As per the tier 1 marking scheme, each section included 25 questions, with a total of 50 marks. A deduction of 0.50 marks was made for every incorrect answer.
The minimum qualifying marks for the SSC CGL tier 1 exam are 30% for candidates in the unreserved category, 25% for those in the OBC and EWS categories, and 20% for candidates in all other reserved categories.
The commission has yet to announce the SSC CGL tier 2 exam dates, though it is expected to take place in the last week of December or the first week of January.
The SSC CGL passing criteria for candidates in the unreserved category is to secure at least 30% of the total marks in the SSC CGL tier 1 exam 2024.
The Staff Selection Commission will make the final allotment of posts based on merit-cum-preferences of posts given by the candidates.
The SSC will conduct the physical tests and medical standards for the following posts.
"SSC does not maintain Waiting list/Reserve panel for multi-factor examinations conducted by the Commission. In such cases, the Departments may take further action regarding carrying forward of vacancies in accordance with the extant rules," the official notification read.
SSC CGL tier 2 paper 1 is compulsory for all the posts. It will include following three sections having two modules each:

Candidates who qualify the SSC CGL tier 1 exam will have to appear in tier 2 exam, which will have two papers.
Junior Statistical Officer - Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in mathematics at Class 12. OR, BA degree in any subject with statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II - Bachelor’s degree in any subject with statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized university. They should have studied statistics as a subject in all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.
Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) - Along with the bachelor’s degree, candidates with minimum one-year research experience are preferred. Those who have completed a degree in law or human rights from a recognized university are also eligible.
All other posts - Should have done bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.

The computer-based SSC CGL exams for tier 1 were conducted from September 9 to 26.
Candidates who qualify SSC CGL tier 1 exam will have to appear in the tier 2 exam for further selection. English language and comprehension in a part of module 1 of paper 1. To test comprehension, three or more paragraphs will be given and questions based on those will be asked. “At least one paragraph should be a simple one based on a book or a story and the other two paragraphs should be on current affairs, based on a report or an editorial,” the commission said.
