NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is likely to announce the Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL 2024) tier-1 results soon for Group B and Group C vacancies under various departments and ministries. A total of 17,727 vacancies will be filled through the CGL recruitment process.
Candidates who appeared in the SSC CGL exams 2024 held between September 9 to 26 will also be able to download the final answer key along with the CGL score card through the new website, ssc.gov.in. The SSC is also expected to announce the CGL tier 2 exam details, which is tentatively scheduled to be held in December.
The SSC CGL typing test will be conducted as part of paper 1 during the tier 2 exams. Candidates will be given a duration of 15 minutes for a passage of about 2,000 key depressions.
As per the CGL passing criteria, those belonging to unreserved category will have to score 30%, OBC and EWS candidates will have to obtain 25% and reserved category candidates with 20% marks will be declared qualified for tier 2 exams.

Junior Statistical Officer
A bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognised university or institute with at least 60% marks in mathematics in Class 12 or a bachelor’s degree in any subject with statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade 2
A bachelor’s degree in any subject with statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized university or institute. The candidates must have studied statistics as a subject in all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.
Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)
A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute. A minimum of one-year research experience in any recognized university or recognized research Institution or a degree in law or human rights from a recognized university desired.
All other posts
A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess essential qualification on or before the cut-off date, August 1, 2024.

English language and comprehension in a part of module 1 of paper 1 of SSC CGL tier 2 exams 2024. The question paper will have three or more paragraphs and will questions will be asked based on these paragraphs. “At least one paragraph should be a simple one based on a book or a story and the other two paragraphs should be on current affairs, based on a report or an editorial,” the commission said.

The SSC CGL tier 2 paper 1 is compulsory for all the posts. Only those candidates who qualify CGL tier 1 exams will be permitted to participate in the second phase. CGL tier 2 paper 1 will include following three sections.
