NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the registration process for junior engineer recruitment exam 2024 for civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering posts. The commission has announced to fill around 968 vacancies under various departments.
The SSC JE notification 2024 is also available on the official website, ssc.gov.in. As per the schedule, the SSC JE paper 1 will be held from June 4 to June 6. The posts are of Group B non-gazetted, non-ministerial. The salary package will be of the pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission. Candidates offered jobs will get a salary in the range of Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400.
All interested candidates will have to complete an one-time registration (OTR) process on ssc.gov.in as the OTR done in the old website will not be considered valid. While filling the SSC JE application form, candidates are required to upload the scanned signature in JPEG format with file size between 10 to 20 KB. As prescribed by the commission, the image dimension of the signature should be about 4 cm in width and 2 cm in height.
Applicants will have to pay an registration fee of Rs 100, however, women, SC, ST, PwD, and ex-servicemen are exempted from paying any fees. SSC has fixed the age reckoning as August 1, 2024, and announced relaxation in age limit for reserved category candidates.
SSC JE exam pattern 2024
SSC Junior Engineer recruitment exam will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode and will consist of two papers. Candidates will get 2 hours to attempt the question paper and those under PwD category will get an extra 40 minutes.
