SSC Stenographer 2024 tentative vacancies announced; 1,926 posts notified

NEW DELHI: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced final vacancies for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Recruitment examination 2024. Candidates who have appeared for the recruitment exam can check the SSC stenographer post-wise final vacancies through the official website at ssc.gov.in.

As per the latest notification, the SSC stenographer exam 2024 aims to fill a total of 1,926 vacancies in the department. Of which 239 vacancies are grade C posts and 1,687 are grade D vacancies.
SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Category-wise cut-offs
Along with the result, the commission also announced the SSC stenographer category-wise cut-off percentages-
- Unreserved category: 30 per cent
- OBC/ EWS: 25 per cent
- All other categories (SC, ST, PwD, ESM, etc): 20 per cent.
According to the official website, the SSC stenographer cut-off marks for unreserved category candidates who qualified for grade C were 148.57526, and for cut-off marks for unreserved candidates who qualified for Grade D, were 130.93746.
SSC steno paper 1 result 2024
The commission conducted the SSC stenographer computer-based exam (paper 1) on December 10 and 11 at test centres across the country. The SSC steno results 2024 were announced on March 6.
Candidates can use their login credentials such as registration number and date of brith to download the SSC stenographer results 2024.
“Based on the performance of the candidates in the Computer Based Examination, 9345 candidates have provisionally qualified for appearing in the Skill Test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 26610 candidates have provisionally qualified for appearing in the Skill Test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’,” SSC said in the paper 1 result notification.
