SSC Stenographer 2025 skill test on January 28, 29; over 31,000 to appear for grade C, D posts

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025: A total of 8,624 candidates shortlisted for Grade C posts and 22,456 for Grade D posts. The exam is being conducted to fill 1,590 vacancies.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the Stenographer 2025 exam dates for the skill test. As per the official announcement, eligible candidates can appear for the SSC Stenographer skill test 2025 on January 28 and 29.

A total of 31,080 candidates are shortlisted for the SSC Stenographer 2025 Grade C and Grade D posts. Of these, 8,624 candidates are provisionally qualified to appear in the skill test for Grade C, while 22,456 candidates have been shortlisted for Grade D posts. The SSC Stenographer result 2025 for the written exam was announced on November 28.
SSC Stenographer 2025: Skill test pattern
The skill test for SSC Stenographer will only be used to assess eligibility, with separate benchmarks fixed by the commission for each category. During the test, candidates will be required to take a 10-minute dictation, at 100 words per minute for Grade C posts and 80 words per minute for Grade D posts, in English or Hindi.

SSC Stenographer Skill Test 2025: Category-wise vacancy
The SSC recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,590 vacancies for Grade 'C' and Grade 'D' posts. Out of these, 1,360 posts are reserved for the Stenographer Grade 'D' posts and 230 for Stenographer Grade 'C' posts. The category-wise vacancy distribution is given below.
