SBI has released the list of candidates shortlisted for the PO mains examination. The final selection will be based on the mains and interview scores

The State Bank of India (SBI) declared the probationary officer (PO) preliminary result 2026 on the official website of SBI at sbi.bank.in. The result consists of the roll numbers of all shortlisted applicants who are going to appear in the main examination which is tentatively scheduled for September 12, 2026.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 1,500 probationary officer vacancies. The SBI PO 2026 prelims exam was held on August 1 and 2 across multiple shifts. The exam consists of questions from English language, qualitative aptitude, and reasoning ability.
The SBI PO result 2026 pdf reads, “The results are subject to: Fulfilment of eligibility criteria/ conditions as prescribed in our advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2026-27/09 dated 18.06.2026. Correctness of information given by the candidate at the time of registration.”

The SBI PO scorecard contains details, such as candidate’s personal details, section-wise marks, overall marks, qualifying status, and category-wise cut-off marks. The notice also reads, “Further details will be advised to the shortlisted candidates by SMS/ email separately."
Applicants who clear this stage will be eligible to appear for the SBI PO Mains 2026 examination. They should regularly visit the SBI website for updates on the exam date, admit card release and other important instructions. The examination will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode at various centres across the country. Applicants who qualify for the mains will be called for the interview round. The final selection will be based on the combined scores obtained in the mains and interview.
