SBI PO Prelims Result 2026 out for 1,500 posts; how to check

The State Bank of India (SBI) declared the probationary officer (PO) preliminary result 2026 on the official website of SBI at sbi.bank.in. The result consists of the roll numbers of all shortlisted applicants who are going to appear in the main examination which is tentatively scheduled for September 12, 2026.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 1,500 probationary officer vacancies. The SBI PO 2026 prelims exam was held on August 1 and 2 across multiple shifts. The exam consists of questions from English language, qualitative aptitude, and reasoning ability.

SBI PO Result 2026: Steps to download

To check the SBI PO result, follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of SBI at sbi.bank.in
• On the homepage, at the bottom, click on the ‘career’ option
• Go to the current openings page
• Click on the link which reads, "RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS (PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION RESULT ANNOUNCED) -ADVERTISEMENT NO: CRPD/PO/2026-27/09"
• Click on the "PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION RESULT" link
• The result pdf will appear on the screen
• Search the roll number by using the key ‘Ctrl+F’
• Download the result and take a printout for further reference

The SBI PO scorecard contains details, such as candidate’s personal details, section-wise marks, overall marks, qualifying status, and category-wise cut-off marks. The notice also reads, “Further details will be advised to the shortlisted candidates by SMS/ email separately."

SBI PO Mains 2026 Examination

Applicants who clear this stage will be eligible to appear for the SBI PO Mains 2026 examination. They should regularly visit the SBI website for updates on the exam date, admit card release and other important instructions. The examination will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode at various centres across the country. Applicants who qualify for the mains will be called for the interview round. The final selection will be based on the combined scores obtained in the mains and interview.
